SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) – Eight-year-old Ariana's favorite movie is Disney's "Frozen” and her favorite character is Elsa. But if Ariana had special powers, she would use them to create a forever family for herself.
“I like giraffes, pandas, koala bears, peacocks, birds,” said Ariana.
Those are just some of Ariana's favorite animals, but her most cherished are:
“My doggie toys. I just brought some of them,” she said.
Ariana wore a pretty party dress to our playdate at Boomers San Diego - dressed to impress.
At age eight, she is old enough to know why she is being featured on Adopt 8.
“So I can find a forever home?” she asks.
And she had this message to her future forever family, in case they are watching:
“Can you adopt me please?”
“She's had a total of two placements and we're looking for a home sooner rather than later,” said protective services worker, Jaimi Martin.
Ariana is currently living with a foster family, but what she needs is a forever home to give her love and guidance and help channel her enthusiasm for life.
“She's going to need a family that's going to stick with her and not give up,” continued Martin.
Ariana is trusting and engaging.
“I think she'd do good in a home with a lot of energy to help her support her with all of her energy and spunkiness,” Martin added.
Ariana sees joy in the simple things, such as the go karts at Boomers San Diego.
Despite suffering trauma, Ariana is still smiling and hoping that she will soon find a forever family to give her the unconditional love she deserves.
“She's really resilient, overall, she's a really happy kid,” continued Martin. “When you hang out with her she'll be like this is my favorite day or my happiest day. She's pretty happy.”
